For the 2025 - 2026 school year, Kim Hung School is full in planned classes in: Grade One, Grade Four, Grade Five, Grade Six, Grade Seven, Grade Eight and Grade Nine.
We are a Level 2, Closed Boundary school as defined by the Division's Growth Control Model. The only students accepted to our school during pre-enrolment are:
- New resident students who live in the school's designated attendance area
- Siblings of current resident students as long as both siblings will be attending the school next year, and both students pre-enroll before the pre-enrolment deadline
- After pre-enrolment closes, only resident students who have newly moved into the school's attendance area will be able to attend
Children who are five (5) years of age on or before December 31 of the current school year may register in Kindergarten.
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION:
Register for school online through the Division website. Families may continue to register their child(ren) over the summer break and will be contacted after staff return to school in late August. Only resident students who have newly moved into our attendance area may register
CURRENT STUDENT PRE-ENROLMENT:
Each Spring, families need to pre-enroll their child(ren) for the coming school year using their parent account on SchoolZone. Pre-enrolment helps families plan and allows schools to prepare based on the number of students expected to attend in the Fall.
Deadline to pre-enroll for the 2026-27 school year is March 25, 2026 @ 4:00 p.m.
NEW STUDENTS CURRENTLY ATTENDING ANOTHER EPSB SCHOOL:
EPSB students who live within Kim Hung’s catchment area and wish to transfer to Kim Hung must select Kim Hung during pre-enrolment at their current school. After pre-enrolment closes, only resident students who have newly moved into our attendance area may register. If you are new to Kim Hung and selected Kim Hung during pre-enrolment or submitted an online registration form, please contact the school at 587-489-4718 to confirm your registration.
REGISTRATION DOCUMENTATION:
For new students to the Division and current EPSB students wishing to change schools by selecting Kim Hung School during re-enrolment, we require the following documentation:
- Online registration form and supporting documents (new-to-Division students only)
- Legal proof of the student's name, citizenship status, and birthdate
- Legal proof connecting the student to parent/guardian
- Legal proof of parent/guardian citizenship status
- Mandatory address verification documentation:
- Homeowners: Current property tax bill or land title and home owners insurance or
- Renters: Fully executed lease agreement, all pages, dated, signed and listing all occupants, and tenant insurance, and
- Current utility bill or Cellphone mobility bill or Car insurance
Additional documentation in support of guardianship or in cases of special immigration circumstance
Please note that we are NOT able to accept the following as address verification documents: bank statements; driver's licences; mutual funds; AHS cards; or retirement savings plan materials.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION:
It is very important that families apply for yellow bus service BEFORE June 1, 2026. Please note that Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred transportation method for junior high students . All Grade Seven (7), Eight (8), and Nine (9) students who wish to ride the Yellow Bus would be considered Conditional Riders, and subject to related space limitations.
